Sir Paul McCartney to finance new Everton Stadium
Cure For The Sore can exclusively reveal that Sir Paul McCartney, a lifelong Everton fan, has decided to finance a new Everton FC stadium. The exact location is not yet certain, but CFTS sources believe it will be in the Docklands area. Sir Paul has had several meetings with chairman Bill Kenwright over the last few months, and the deal was struck. We know Sir Paul wants to be remembered on Merseyside, not just for being a member of The Beatles, but with something more tangible.
"John has his airport, so I'm having my stadium!", said a delighted Sir Paul after leaving the Jawbone pub in Bootle, following several pints of mild, "I want to make Everton great again. They do fantastic work in the community and their youth policy is the best in the country."
It is estimated the costs involved with the 80,000 seater stadium project will be in the region of £200 million. The whole infrastructure will regenerate the area and provide work for hundreds. Sir Paul will finance the whole project, and in the meantime, will also make available £100 million for players - and manager David Moyes will be delighted. You read it here first!!!
