Are Winter Climbers and Walkers Stupid??? Yes!

Every winter, we hear of the deaths of climbers and walkers who venture out in the worse weather imaginable to complete a walk or a climb. This winter has been no exception. Not only do these foolish people put their own lives at risk, but  also the rescue services and volunteers who go out into this treacherous weather to try and search for or rescue these numbskulls.
Why don't they wait until the summer when conditions and visibility are much improved?
If they insist on walking and climbing in these appalling weather conditions, they should be forced to sign a declaration, prior to their departure, stating that no rescue services will come to their aid should they get into difficulty.
