Everton's Moyes Screws City Over Lescott Transfer

David Moyes has proved what an astute manager he is! He knew Joleon Lescott wanted to leave the club, but despite this, he rejected bids of 15 million then 18 million from Manchester City FC. Lescott finally went to Manchester City for a fee reported to be between 22 & 24 million pounds. Who's the mug? Mark Hughes!
Moyes has cleverly secured at least an additional 7 million by rejecting the initial 2 bids.
Well done David!
By the way, I liked Lescott's remark, "I wanted to go to City because they are an ambitious club - it had nothing to do with money." Joleon Lescott talking absolute bollox. If he'd been offered the same wages as he was getting at Everton, do you think he'd have been interested in City's bid? No way!

Bonus Pay-Outs for Tramps!

Tramps are to receive massive cash bonuses for not creating the recession. Professor of Research at the University of Lots of Dough, Winsome Losesome, said there was a direct correlation between tramps and their ability not to create the current world-wide recession, and his painstaking research indicates that the tramps should be financially rewarded for not contributing to the credit crisis. Sorry, have been caught short, and will continue this story at a later date. Or is it a dater late?

Newsflash: Joleon Lescott to Stay at Everton

The Everton centreback, Joleon Lescott, broke the silence in the last half hour and has publicly declared his loyalty to Everton FC, and that he will NOT be handing in a transfer request. He told CFTS, "I am putting an end to these rumours by stating categorically that I do not want to leave Everton, no matter what price Manchester City offer. I am happy here, and I believe we will break into the top 4 this season. We have a terrific squad and team spirit, and I do not want to become part of that 'circus' at Eastlands. David Moyes has made me into the player I am today, and I want to repay him with my loyalty to the club I love so much."
